Day use or overnight: which villa booking suits your group?

Many guests ask whether they should book a villa for the day or stay the night. Both give you the whole villa and the private pool; the difference is time, price and pace.

How day use works

Day use gives your group the villa for the day, and everyone heads home in the evening. It is priced as a discount on that date's overnight rate, so it always costs less than staying the night. Saturday day use follows the Saturday rate, and weekdays are the best value.

Day use suits you if:

• you are planning an afternoon birthday, especially with young children
• it is a team outing that ends the same evening
• you want a pool day without packing overnight bags
• you are booking at short notice for a free weekday

How an overnight stay works

Check-in is from 2 PM and check-out by 12 noon the next day. The weekend rate applies only to Saturday nights; every other night is charged at the weekday rate.

Overnight suits you if:

• the celebration runs into the evening, with a BBQ night or a movie on the projector
• guests are driving in from across Chennai and would rather not drive back late
• you want the slow part: an early swim and breakfast before check-out
• it is a reunion, where the best conversations happen after dinner

A quick way to decide

• Under 6 hours of celebration? Day use.
• Dinner is the main event? Overnight.
• Mostly children? Day use, and home for bedtime.
• Friends catching up? Overnight, every time.
